About This Quote

Disillusionment is an enemy. It’s the enemy of prosperity and well-being. Disillusionment is a feeling that something is wrong or not working, or that you are not happy with your current situation. It can be the result of a bad experience, or something you have seen in others, or even something you have read about.

It can come from knowing what you want and finding it is not available. You feel like you did not receive what you expected or deserved. When we get disillusioned we sink down to our lowest point and we feel like the world is not fair and we did nothing to deserve anything good in life.

We can get disillusioned by stuff like losing a job, having bad luck, having bad relationships, people laughing at us or cheating on us, and so on. After that we get disillusioned and we do nothing to get back up again because we lose hope.
